Overview

OneStop is a campus assistant app for Nanyang Technological University (NTU) students. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

On-Device AI Processing

OneStop uses Apple Intelligence for the AI chat assistant. All conversations are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to external servers. Your chat history is stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time.

Location Data

We request location access to:

• Calculate walking distances to buildings and facilities on the campus map
• Provide accurate bus stop information based on where you are
• Give context-aware answers in the AI chat assistant

Location data is used in real-time only while the app is open. Your location is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties. You can disable location access at any time in your device Settings.

Voice & Speech Data

Voice input uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. Audio is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to any external servers.

Data We Access

We do not collect personal information. The app accesses:

• Bus arrival times (public LTA Singapore data)

These requests are made through our backend server for API key security, but no personal data is transmitted.

Local Storage & iCloud Sync

The following data is stored locally on your device:

• Chat conversation history
• Saved courses and schedules
• Custom courses and assessments
• Your uploaded timetable image
• App preferences

Course data syncs across your devices via iCloud if enabled. Chat history remains local to each device. No data is sent to external servers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• LTA DataMall: For real-time bus arrivals (public data)

Analytics & Tracking

OneStop does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not track your usage behavior or collect analytics data.

Data Security

All network communications use HTTPS encryption. Local data is stored using iOS standard security mechanisms.

Your Rights

You can:

• Clear chat history at any time within the app
• Delete saved courses and data
• Revoke location permissions in Settings
• Delete the app to remove all local data

Children's Privacy

OneStop does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
